Dear Community Members, I am posting this on behalf of my daughter who is working on a community project. Please read below and support if you can. Thank you.

Did you know over 22 billion crayons and 500 million markers go to the landfill each year? Myself and a friend are collecting unwanted (broken, well used) crayons, markers, highlighters, sharpies to help decrease the numbers in the landfill. We are working with organizations that would re-purpose and donate the art supplies to hospitals, shelters, schools, etc. We would appreciate if you could kindly donate your unwanted art supplies and help spread the word. We are happy to collect it from your house or share an address you could drop them at. Please feel free to email Kolors4kids2018@gmail.com, if you have any questions. Thank you in advance.

Donation boxes are at Mill Run ES and Eagle Ridge MS too.

If you frequent any restaurants in the area that provide crayons for kids to pass time while you wait for your order, please post the names here. Ones we know of so far are Red Robin, PFChangs, Olive Garden. Any others?

    Thank you!

As the end of school year is upon us - if you have unused/partially used/broken crayons or other art supplies (markers, color pencils, etc) that are past their use, please PM me. We will be happy to come collect it from you. They will be given a new life.

Yes, markers that do not write anymore, or are out of ink count too...
