The bags currently being used are the same used by many other communities in the area. The previous types cost more than double what these cost.

They are bags to pickup poop. I don't think we should be spending a fortune on 'premium' bags when these work just as well. If you think they're 'too thin' for you and you don't like them, you are free to purchase your own bags, or put a paper towel in the bag before using it.

I've seen the new bags and don't see any issue with them. And it's saving our community thousands of dollars. Once again, let's put this in perspective; these are bags to pickup poop, not to pickup gold...

Thanks for the response. I didn't realize the price difference was that high.

Or, people will just use 2 at a time - double-bag them like at the grocery store with heavy items. I doubt it will impact who picks up and who doesn't.

The old ones were twice as thick which made pick up nicer. Just a better quality product.

The new ones will make it much easier to "warm up" your hands in cold weather... if you know what I mean.

Yes, very true. Which is why I asked in the beginning if we could go back to the nicer bags. I was hoping this was a temporary change but guess that's not the case. I did the double bag idea earlier and it worked well. Only problem is if I use two bags every time I would have used one it might not be such a costs savings.

I'm just curious...why do you need to use two bags when one will serve the same purpose. Isn't that wasteful? I would prefer the savings go to something more meaningful than poop.:)

Because people don't like feeling poop as if they had no glove on at all? Did we have to spell that out?

Really! Guess the other bags were so padded you had not idea what you were picking up?

Stop being antagonistic. If you have nothing of value to contribute then ignore the post.

The response to why the other bags are better is true. I have two dogs one is a yorkie one is a big lovable mutt. Using any bag for the yorkie is fine. For the big guy I don't want to feel like I could break through the plastic and actually touch the you know what. Double bags are wasteful but definitely seem like a more secure way to pick up the problem.

Funny - calling me antagonistic because you fail to see why the posters made the comments about the bags to start with.. basically discounting their complaints. That made me laugh
