If you need to order mulch/landscaping materials and you expect good customer service, don't order from Blue Mount Nursery. Five of my neighbors and I placed a substantial order from Blue Mount recently, which was delivered today. We've done this the past few years, ordering from Lowes or Home Depot, but were seduced by the lower delivery fee. Anyway, when I placed the order, the clerk told me that they couldn't confirm the delivery date or give me a window on the delivery time because, if they called me and I didn't answer, they just wouldn't deliver. When I asked about moving my car, another clerk said, "Just park it on the street, Lady." When the delivery came today, they just backed a dump truck up in my driveway and dumped $1000 worth of bagged mulch and other landscaping materials in my driveway - I barely got my car out of the garage in time - and here I thought only half of my driveway would be blocked! I called Blue Mount to complain, the "lady" on the phone told me that if my neighbors and I weren't so cheap, we could have each paid a $45 delivery fee and have our individual orders dumped on our drives.

Last year, Lowes split our multi-family order up between 6 houses for no extra fee and with a smile on the delivery man's face.

I saw that Blue Mount is advertising in the Broadlands newsletter, and wanted to warn all of my Broadlands neighbors what to expect if you order from Blue Mount - a pile of broken bags of mulch in your driveway and an unacceptable "quality" of "customer service" for your trouble!

You should take a picture of the mess and post it on here. A picture says a thousand words, you know...

You should have ordered mulch from the Boy Scouts. Troop 1158 would have placed it where ever you wanted it. Plus you help out a good organization.

be very careful of Blue Mont for all anything. Prices are bad on most things I checked, trees especially. I never felt happy with how I was treated there.

Green Works did well by us. They are on RT 50 inbetween 606 & Cheap Gas.

    Boy Scout mulch FTW.
