They have gotten the permit to start putting in foundations at the Wendy's site, but have not yet done so. I've not heard about when they'll start at the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin-Robbins site.

The annual HOA meeting will be held on May 10th at Hillside Elementary. There will be some Q&A with the developers, and this will probably be one of the questions asked.

    Neil -
Since you seem to always be on the forums, why don't you start writing down all these questions and take them with you to the Annual meeting, just in case some of us can't make it, of there isnt' enough time to ask all the questions that the residents have.

I'm on the HOA Board of Directors ... I'm going to be there no matter what, but I'd like to see some additional participation, as we're also going to be voting for a homeowner member of the board.

FWIW .. these questions will be answered at the meeting. We currently have representatives of Saul Centers and Van Metre scheduled to be there. We have asked Tetra to send someone, but I'm not sure of them yet.

Saul will not be attending the Annual meeting. Tetra has been invited, but they have not responded back to me yet if they will attend.
The Dunkin Donuts still has not received site plann approval from the county, so it will probably be a while before it opens.

    kgunnam-
Do you know if there are plans for a sidewalk in front of the property? A concern of many residents is there is no way to access the plaza without walking through the street.

    Cliff,

A sidewalk from where, through the bullfrog pond? Maybe I need to see a proposed site plan, but one would think these things were addressed months ago. (Do I sound like I have a need for copious amounts of cholesterol?)

A sidewalk that would run from the current trail along Truro Parish that would then extend into the plaza across the front of the Dunkin Donuts pad. This way, when you're on the trail you would be able to walk on a sidewalk to the main plaza building without having to walk in the roadway.

This was a concern brought up 2 developer meetings ago regarding the plaza in general, since the main part also does not have sidewalks until you get to the actual storefronts. At that meeting, we were told that Wachovia was building the sidewalks with their building. Still no sidewalks. It'd be nice to have safe pedestrian access. Crosswalks even?

    Hi Vacliff,
Yes. There is a sidewalk infront of building which ends pretty close to main building. Ofcourse there is a stop sign at the end of the side walk, so pedestrians will have right of way. As per Opening we are planning to open end of this year.
This location was initially planned for bank and wachovia location was planned for Retail. Wachovia Flipped it over and we are in a process to change the use. Construction work might start as soon as July, Depends on Permit Process. Will keep you posted.

    Dutchml,
Do you mean dunkin/baskin Cash card?. They will be available by the time we open.

    Siliencedogwood99,

Thanks for the invitation. Infact I live in carisbrooke. So its less than a mile from my home. We definitely need all of your support and i am sure we will keep up to your expectations.

    All Others,
    Any other concerns!!!!????

    Thanks

I live right near there and will be able to see it from my backyard. I am concerned about the look and hours off the dunkin donuts. I hope it will not be opened too late.

Is it going to have a perky orange and pink color scheme? It would look so nice with the red/yellow/blue from the gas station. [xx(]

    Hi carolyn,

The look of the building(Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins) would be colonial/New england style. Our design will match the rest of the center. Unfortunately we will not have any of standard looks for this. No awnings and no red and pink colors. As per store Hours, we haven't made a decision yet.

    Thanks

Initially we will be open 24/7. If we cannot continue 24 hours then we will open by 5AM and will close at 11 or 12 in the night.

He hasn't posted in almost 2 months. He's probably on another one of his self-imposed exiles...
