Earth Day is Sunday, April 22. While we shouldn't need a special occasion to clean up trash Broadlands, maybe Earth Day will give us extra incentive. The recent windstorm, winter, or construction may have been the cause of the trash, but the tree line and creeks in Broadlands could use a little cleaning up. I just was out for a 2-3 block area in Southern Walk and picked up three bags of garbage, both residential and contruction, between the townhouses and woods.

Yes, it is good for the environment to pick up the trash, but it also looks better when sitting on your deck or going for a walk throughout the community.

Use the Earth Day weekend as an excuse, if you need to, but go out and do a good deed and clean up Broadlands.

Great idea. Make it a family event. It's going to be beautiful outside! We're going to adopt DeMott between Waxpool and Broadlands Blvd.
