I am looking for a good exterminator to eliminate my ant problem. Any recommendations? How much did it cost?

I used the Combat clear gel that they take back to the nest. They swarm over it and bring it back killing the whole colony. This is good if they're already inside the house.

They're bad this year. They attacked me on two fronts and established bases in my plants inside and on the deck as waypoints. I got them with that gel though!

We're having a battle with carpenter ants. Hired Superior Pest Control. Charge $95 for initial visit and $85 for quarterly visits. They guarantee to eradicate all kinds of pests...ants, crickets, mice, bees, etc. They will come back as many times as it takes to eliminate the problem. They found a huge ant nest under our sandbox in the back yard. I had used a couple of pieces of lumber to level it and that's where the nest was. He said it generally takes a few visits to wipe them all out.

    Homer,

Thanks for the advise, I was curious, is the gel specfically made for ants? Giant has the Combat gel made for roaches, but I didn't see one for ants. I was wondering if it is the same thing.

Yes, this was just for ants. I got it from the local Home Depot. Just used it yesterday when my wife found a colony in a house plant after watering. One box lasts a long time.
