Exxon at Ryan Park - ***WARNING***

I purchased gas (15.8 gal) and car wash (Ultimate $14), totaled $55.13. Gas price should have been 20 cents discount with car wash purchased, but I was charged full price of $2.59 per gallon. Also, car wash machine indicated that the service I received was "basic" car wash (worth $8) instead of "ultimate" (worth $14). I told the clerk and he refunded me only $3.16 cash (difference for gas discount with car wash). He said I already did the car wash so he cannot give me the rest of my money back (~$3 for the difference between $14 and $8, minus the cash he refunded me). I told him their machines are defective (both gas pump and car wash vending) and he did not acknowledge me. It appears that he was aware of it (defective or deliberate adjusted).

 

If the gas pumps are defective, you can call the State agency charged with keeping them honest. If the guy is aware of it and does NOT want to fix it, then by all means inform the agency of this fact. They then are charged with enforcing the law.

I did this with one gas station on Route 7 near Reston. They refused to refund the money. I got the clerk's name and called the agency. They went out the following week to get them to fix it and to tell them to refund the funds if people are asking for it or they would take action against the gas station.

 

I just filed a complaint online to the Virginia attorney general office..... ag.virginia.gov
