I think there's an issue with our FIOS DVR, but am still trying to troubleshoot to make sure it's not our receiver. Does anyone have an issue with their sound going in and out while watching recorded programs? It's gotten much worse lately, and I don't think it happens during live TV (don't watch that as much). Anyone else?

We do not have exactly the same issue, however, many times when we try to 'rewind' a show, the picture will freeze, and only the audio will rewind. I miss my TIVO!!!:sadcry:

We got the FIOS DVR when we got their service last year and after a few months I hated it. We decided to get rid of it and go with a new HD Tivo for us. Best money we ever spent. We got the Verizon guys to go out to install the cards in the TIVO, so we don't have an extra box either. I would suggest getting rid of the Fios one and go back to TIVO.

I didn't know that TIVO worked with FIOS. Thanks for the tip. I have 4 Verizon DVRs.

With TIVO and Verizon, how do you get on demand?

I also have just recently (last few days) experienced the sound going in and out with the HD DVR from FIOS. I thought it was just me :) Sorta glad there is someone else with the same issue...

Mine seems to get the hiccups occasionally lately also. I get it with both live and recorded programs. It sometimes blacks out for a second or so, then comes back. It must be something in their system or feed?? Still better than DISH, in my opinion.

That has been happening with our Comcast DVR as well.
