The Loudoun Hospital website is now showing them as being there tomorrow too - same times. Is that accurate?

I noticed that too. The date on the main HOA page has changed again. Was it today or is it tomorrow? Did I miss it? I don't even see it listed on the LCH website hornerjo posted anymore.

They were there this morning. My husband got a flu shot. He said there were Channel 5 people everywhere (appearantly they did a live broadcast) and taking their time leaving, making the people in line have to wait longer. He said it went very smoothly once Channel 5 left. The LHC people were very efficient and nice, he said.
He was home in 45min but he was concerned about mothers and babies waiting outside in the cold while the channel 5 peeps were milling around. They are going to be there tomorrow from 5:30 am to 9am so get out of bed and be there!!
It will probably go much smoother with out TV peole around.
    Get the shot!

I heard on the news last night that LHC will also be providing flu shots at the south entrance (I believe near the new birthing Inn) from 1 p.m to 8 p.m.

The shots today at the CC must have been cancelled, we went by at 7am an no one was there (drove by Nature center, no one there either).

Hornerjo, I think you are right. I went by at 5:30 this morning (and again at 6) and no one was there :-(

I just looked at the website posted earlier for the hospital's flu shot clinics and the previously listed date for today in the Broadlands in no longer there. I might try to make it to the hospital this week for their walk-in clinic.

SK8R, no need to apologize! I read it on the HOA site too. By the time I went to the LHC site, it had been removed.

Guess I'll have to make a trip out the LHC and get the shot.

We appreciate having the info about the flu shots on the web site, but it would be much better if it was actually correct...

well, all I can say is.... get the shot where ever you can get it.
In two weeks, the college kids will be home, bringing their communal living diseases with them.
The flu is making the trip home too.
Your relatives coming to visit, traveling by air or car (rest stops) will also bring the flu with them,
invading your nice and germ free home. Winter fun and festivities for all of us.

I would like to commend LHC on a fine job they did administering the flu shot Friday morning. I am defintely NOT an early morning person but they made my brief 0530 visit enjoyable with the friendliness and professionalism.

Our very lousy pediatrian's office, gave my daughter one flu shot in November and she was suppose to get the second this week. They never called us to say there would be a problem or anything, but now they are completely out of the flu shot. It renders the first one useless and we are traveling to Arizona on the 19th for Christmas.

Does anyone know where there are any shots left?

I am not sure but this is what the doctor told me - two different offices - new gudiance from CDC is that children with no disease or respitory issues, who have had the first of the two flu shots, (6mos - 2 yr) are good to go. They do not the second shot. It is about 90-95% coverage and then they gave the second shot a month later to make up for that 10-5%. I am not sure how many of your kids fall in this boat but mine did. However....who knows.
