In coordination with the Loudoun County Animal shelter, we borrowed a live trap to try to save our lost indoor-only cat. We were told only hungry cats will go into the trap.

We have found a small - med. orange and white tabby female (or fixed male at a very young age) instead! She has no collar, but is clearly used to people.

We had seen an orange and white tabby in the lost listings so we brought her inside. Also, according to the HOA rules when we moved here outdoor cats were not permitted, so we are going to assume this girl has been lost and now found!

We will post a picture soon and contact the Loudoun County Animal shelter in the morning. She was found on Springwell Drive near the Stream Valley Park trail in a yard where the owners have no pets.

Please come get your baby! We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are trying to save our lost indoor-only cat.

Best wishes and please consider keeping your cats indoors; Stream Valley Park is riddled with poison ivy, and foxes have been spotted in the area. I see Animal Control driving around Broadlands a lot too. So many dangers outside too.

    Best wishes,
    Sharon

Re: UPDATE Picture Link FOUND CAT -- Female Orange/White Tabby

Check with Bruce Biggs, corner of Gentle Heights and Vestals Gap.
    21338 Gentle Heights.
He has 2 of these, both outsite cats. Could be one of them.

    Just found this post tonight.

I will check with this neighbor first thing in the morning, or he's welcome to call the house.

    Thanks for the tip!

If its not his, I know there were "Lost Cat" flyers up on Demott and Welby that had a cat that looked like that a few weeks back.

Update: FOUND CAT -- Female Orange and White Tabby

I've left messages w/ the Biggs family, but have not heard back yet.

I brought the cat to the vet to have her scanned for a microchip; no luck.

She is a confirmed female and probably spayed. Currently being pampered by us and not interested in going outside at all. I am hoping to find her owner before considering letting her loose outside with a collar (if she'll even go). Next step will contact the newspapers.

Please note that only hungry cats will venture into a trap to get food. Chances are we found a lost cat.
