Our attic fan has been rattling for the last few years and finally gave up.

Looked online for Certainteed replacement motor and found in some forums that Gibralter will replace it free.

Called them at 800-527-1924 with the model # and they shipped me a free motor and fan blade - did not even have to pay the shipping. Was hot as heck replacing that tonight but it is done.

P.S. Also took some 2x4 pieces up in the attic the second time and nailed to the rafters to make a ladder of sorts, made getting up there a lot easier.

You'd need to call them to see if still going on, did not sound like a promotion just trying to take care of customers.

The main challenge is getting up to the fan. I nailed some 2x4 pieces on the rafters to make a ladder of sorts. Otherwise if you've got a small ladder should be straightforward, just HOT. Be sure to cut the breaker before changing.
