Hockey pucks? That is an interesting idea. So the idea is that the material of the puck helps isolate the vibration from being transmitted to the floor? I never would have thought of that. :)

So in Germany we always had front loaders, I have never even seen a top loader until I moved here. One of the best parts growing up was Mom letting us sit on top of the washer during the spin cycle so it wouldn't shake so much, lol.

So here is your solution ... have the kids sit on top of the washer. :)

Other than that ... not overloading it and leveling does help. I do want a front loader ... still working Ozgood on that one. I would have to put the dog on it for the spin cycle though.

Man I could post something really crude and dirty but Marianne would kick my butt when I get home.:happygrin::happygrin::happygrin:

It is not fair for your to post such straight-lines when you know I can't respond the way I want to. :censored::censored::censored::censored:

Brassy's kids are a bit old to sit on the washer. But she did just get a dog and has a really heavy cat. Something tells me the cat wouldn't be too keen on it...

Me neither... it was about an hour of googling around to find this info. Before we bought the washer I had read about vibration problems with the Whirlpool Duet in particular, which is what I was going to buy. So then I kept googling for a solution... and this one came up. Figured, for $4 and change, what was the loss in trying it.

And never had a problem. :)
