Need Help! GE Profile Stove top and dials

    Our igniter on one part of our stove needs to be replaced (it does not click anymore) and we also have one that is hard to ignite. We also have a melted dial or two. Who can we call to repair? I have actually contemplated replacing the entire piece of garbage but thought I would see how much it will cost me to fix first. Thank you.

    We are having the same issue = some times the igniter works and others it doesn't. I didn't think it could be fixed and it was expensive to replace on Home Depot's web site so hopefully someone can recommend a repair person.

    We've had luck with internet appliance parts stores for these things... just google your model number and you get a good start. The good sites will have exploded parts views, parts lists, etc

    Sterling Appliance can do it. Bray and Scharf (sp?) can probably also. Sterling repaired mine a few years ago. It looked like a fairly easy fix.

    I went to youTube to learn how to replace the heating elements in the oven - it was so simple and saved $$ better spent elsewhere. Maybe you can do the same with the igniters.

    Not sure if you a referring to the burners on top of your stove or a separate cook-top? I have a cook-top in bisque for sale.
