Carla: What are you all sitting around here like a bunch of wimps for?

    Norm: It's what wimps do.

Any chance that Glory Days will be NON-Smoking???? Please?????

That is the best thing about BoneFish right now...I wish all Ashburn restaurants would follow their lead.

I am with you on this Techygirl. I wish VA or at least Northern VA would go non-smoking like DC and Montgomery County, MD. In the long run, business benefits and so do we.

Unfortunately I don't think it will be non-smoking as the one off of Rt 50 in Stone Ridge allows smoking. However, you don't smell it too much in the non-smoking area. Looking forward to Red Robin coming in the 4th quarter to Ryan Park as that is completely non-smoking.

Yes - they do open on March 26th. My daughter is in training there and all staff is going through a weeks worth of pretty intensive training which is a great sign. We get to go to a family and friends pre-opening practice dinner this Friday - - so it looks like they will be ready for the Monday opening.

They still need a few staff - so if you have an 18 year old that is ready to work send them over there asap.

PS - Be nice to the hostesses

Being a GD's fan I was at the door shortly after it opened - they probably had one server for every table. Was there from a little after 4 until a littel after 7. Folks finally started to show up around 5:30 or 6. Still plenty of room even with the folks showing up -and service was excellent.
I sat at the bar - food arrived quickly after ordering it and plenty of bar tenders.

Happy to see they were prepared to handle the opening day.

We went there yesterday at about 6pm with our two kids and got seated right away. The service was excellent (thanks Brandon!) and the food was great too.

We went last night. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was excellent. I didn't know they had little sound speakers on the table that you can switch to any of the many TVs in the place. I thought that was pretty cool. We thought the food was good - we liked what we ordered, but we wouldn't say the food was great or excellent. It's a fantastic option when you just don't feel like cooking and want to just head somewhere close. Seemed like it could satisfy many kinds of customers.

One good thing that sets it apart is the floor space. The rows of booths are so far apart I didn't even recognize Merlin across the way. Add our vote for great atmosphere, enthusiatic management and help, and good but typical middle of the road fare.

Why are people so willing to go out to dinner and eat just mediocre food? I never could understand that. I'd rather eat a bowl of cereal or make an omelet or just soup and sandwich than pay for mediocre food. But that's me. I love to cook and we don't eat out that much except for special occasions....and when we do eat out - I expcet as good, if not better than what I make at home. In other words - it's a treat to go out. I guess it's just the generation now - no time to cook.
