    Go WAHOOS!!! Beat VT!!!

What prompted me to write this was some moron with VPI plates with the words UVASUX! :angryfire:

Yes, we UVA people know we're outnumbered since the enrollment at Tech is twice that of UVA, but that's what happens when you have a very selective school such as UVA. It's quality, not quantity. :devil2::pofl:

And BTW, I"m just kidding! All of my VT friends are out of town...so we can't watch the game together. Therefore, I'm having a virtual razing. I'll try keep the thread alive here during the game although, I have no doubt, that UVA will simply get the Hokie beat down this afternoon in C'Ville.

    Anyway, enjoy the game.

Go Hokies! Tech may have twice the enrollment, but UVA has twice the ego. UVA definitely leads in the ego quantity department.

BTW, I am just kidding! But thought I'd speak up for your out of town friends since this is probably the only time you'll trash talk them, when they are out of town. (Truly just jousting in jest)

think Scott stadium will be over 50% tech fans? I bet it will be close, I expect to see lots of maroon on the hill.

    Here's to a Groh-less game next year.

Hopefully they'll be something to look forward to...not so much so far.

It's tough being a UVA fan....

Squish indeed! I've yelled at my TV so much yesterday that it will need an anti-depressant and cognitive behavioral therapy until the LED's burn out.

I can't begin to tell you how much respect I have for Frank Beamer and how he built a program from nothing... I only wish we would be that fortunate.

And for the record, I would be very pleased with my children if they chose to go to VT.

Now, with my friends returning from their travels...I'll have to endure another year of humiliation. Oh well, there's always the Redskins! Uh...wait. Maybe not! I GOT it, my home town Giants!!! Uh...damn!!!

    That's it...I got nothin'....

And so Al Groh is gone as UVA's head coach. An early Christmas present.

    Via Con Dios, Al.

I agree, it IS tough, but this is the first year for Tony Bennett, give him a couple years...they'll be back. And now that Groh is gone, hopefully they'll get a better football coach and we'll be back. Now - don't forget about UVA baseball....the way they got to the College World Series and played so well last year was very exciting to watch. Can't wait for this year.

It's not that tough, only in football...

Men's soccer: NCAA quaterfinal game Friday against defending champs MD.

just watched UVa vs Penn St. in basketball. They played great in the first half (finally have some big guys and they played as a team for the first time in a few years), kinda regressed in the second half but rallied to lose by 3. Really looking forward to see what Bennet does.

UVA has the best lacrosse team in the Commonwealth! If not in the country.

You can always hope VA Tech never decides to legitimately sponsor a lacrosse team.

one of my good friends in college went a little overboard with his car, trying to get it into the VT Homecoming Parade. He's actually the son in Bill Bolling (Virginia Lt Governor), still meet up with him for football games (like in Atlanta this year vs. GT)

License Plate is "IH8UVA" (not sure how he got that to pass DMV, must have pulled some strings through his dad)

The things people waste their money on... still impressive work IMO.

that was my thought too... he spent about 5 times what he paid for the car just on what he did to it. For the total price tag he could have almost just gotten an M3 and done a paint job.

you'd probably ask "$40K?!?!". Most of the work you can't actually see in these photos. The trunk folds up into a large screen TV with a satellite feed... amazing for tailgating. But with only a handful of opportunities to do that a year, I'm not sure I'd drop $40-50K on something like this. :shakehead:

Clearly he just had a passion...

That is a stock car. They sell them all the time at Car Max. Probably never see them because they can't keep them on the lot. High demand. :)
