Linux - you should get commission on the sales of pizza dough at the HT this week ;-) I know I want to try this now, too!

Charlotte- we have a Weber charcoal grill. I was curious about how it would do there too.

LOL! Hopefully they'll notice the uptick and start putting more dough out ;)

As with any grill, make sure the grate(s) are clean and well oiled.

Please post your experiences with trying your hand at grilled pizza this week. I would love to hear about anyone else's tips, suggestions and/or comments!

One of our favorites is a pizza margarite. Drain a can of Italian style crushed tomatoes (drain well so your pizza doesn't get too soggy), fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil.

I'm a big fan of thin crust, so I think the crispy cracker-like result of the pizza on the grill is great.

Well I must say you are all serious grillers. The best we can do is usually ribeyes, country style ribs, black burnt chicken, Italian sausages, and hot dogs and hamburgers.

Grilled some pizza the other night. A classic margarite and then one with Brie, prosciutto, and arugula (that had been tossed with a little olive oil, garlic, and fresh lemon juice). A new favorite.

Humm, that looks fantastic and worth trying. Do you mind if I replace the Pepsi with a Beer?

Wegman's sells raw pizza dough also. I make my own. It's so simple.

This recipe is supposed to be good. If you have a stand mixer (like a Kitchen Aid) it's pretty easy since if you have a dough hook for it the mixer does all the work.

I don't user a mixer. I basically mix 1 cup warm water, one pkg of yeast, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar. 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 cup wheat flour and enough regular flour (2 cups or so) to make dough stirred/mixed by hand. I let it rise for 15 or so minutes in sunlight or oven with the light on. I then use a pastry roller to roll the dough out on a greased pizza pan. For oven cooking I set the oven at 450. The above are estimates because honestly I havent' used a recipe in 15 years.
