I had a piece of flashing blow half way off from the wind this weekend and it is now banging on the front of the house. It is way too high for me to reach with my ladder and cannot be reached from the roof over my front porch.

I don't know if a longer extension ladder would do it as it would have to reach over the front porch roof to the second floor.

Does anyone have any recomendations for a "Handyman" or contracter? It just needs to be nailed back on but getting to it is the real problem.

Really, no one has any recomendations? Siding companies, roofing companies?

I called Home Depot and Sears and they no longer do roofing except for installation of new roofs.

I have called the Van Metre sales center and asked the sales team I worked with for recommendations on a few things I needed. Also, real estate agents usually have many resources. I don't know how long ago you closed on your home but you could give your real estate agent a call if you used one for the buy/sale of your home.

I just had a piece of siding replaced and the guy did a great job for a reasonable price. He came out and did a free estimate the day I called, and had it done the day I said yes to the estimate. I used Metro Contractors at 703-327-0857.

Thanks for responding. I did try my Realtor but the guy she recommends is out of town until the 10th of April.

I will give Metro Contractors a call.
