My washing machine is on the fritz--can anyone recommend a good handyman who can fix washers?

If you are very handy, you can repair it yourself....there are tons of do it yourself manuals on the internet...not to mention Youtube videos! I've repaired my own Dryer and other appliances myself...

    Good luck!

Mine was on the fritz a few months back (making different noises, shaking a lot, etc). I called a guy out to look at it and it took him 5 seconds to tell me it would be far cheaper to replace the washer rather than fix it. It cost me $100 just to have him come out. They really only build washers to last 7-10 years now, not like it was 20 years ago. Assuming your house (and washer) is the same age as mine, it might be better to just replace it and save the extra $100.

Can you describe the problem at all?
