I have to assume that was meant as rhetorical question because the same statement could easily be spun the other way. "How many people have died because LHC never took the initiative to offer these life saving services until now?"
Like I said there is plenty of blame to go around but the fact remains that LHC has not kept up with the needs of the community. Some people say it's not LHC's fault because the county has grown too fast to keep up. Where have these people been? People have speaking out about Loudoun growth for the past 20 years! I remember the "Don't Fairfax Loudoun" bumper stickers way back in the early 80's. How could anyone not see this coming?

Being a mother does not give license to spout garbage w/o backlash. Where are these supposed hate emails and phone calls? Where is the response to my previous posts. The spin on your side is out of control and you're side is turning into what you decry the Pro side is. What's worse is that your side is alienating the neutrals by immediately (and with no evidence to support) labeling as Pro-HCA w/o so much as listening to what they say. You can't expect to come in here and expect us to believe baseless information and to be emotionally played. Most of us are veterans to the net and have seen this tactic time and time again from Trolls and Flamers.

Instead of pointing fingers and trying to assign blame, why don't we take the high road and support Loudoun Hospital for trying to expand its services now. By supporting HCA's effort to block our access to life-saving cardiac care, the HCA supporters are not helping anyone who lives here.

How is LHC's effort to maintain monopoly by denying healthcare to western loudoun by blocking other healthcare to setup out there any different than HCA's? LHC is a private hospital as well. The only difference is that LHC does not YET have the track record of fraud that HCA has. LHC's tactics are lowering to HCA's level and why didn't LHC make a better effort to modernize before now? Because it is private and it costs them money! There was no incentive for LCH to bring itself out of the crapulance that it is w/o some competition.

The pro-HCA side has made the same allegations, and you have not attacked them, Homer. Where is the fairness in that? Also, remember that when I first started with this Forum, I was on the fence. The nastiness of the HCA-supporters and the hate that spewed forth against people who asked reasonable questions turned me in favor of keeping the likes of HCA far, far away from our enclave.

Also, I have made the evidence of the hate mail attacks available to people of trust, specifically those who have proven that they are truly concerned about HCA's actions. Because of the content of the emails, they cannot be published here because they violate the Forum Guidelines. See the Admin's post at

Also, keep in mind that children read these forums. I would not want a young mind tainted by the maliciousness of the attacks of HCA's supporters.

This is something Vacliff shared with us just two days ago.
You people, do your homework before you start blaming LHC for not providing services:

Homer, all you seem to be able to do is point fingers today. Except you never seem willing to call out HCA for its vile actions. That is exceptional bias. What's the cause of your deep love for everything that HCA has done? If the HOA built a church in honor of HCA, would you worship at the feet of the statue to the Sainted Fraud? (The saint whose first "miracle" was robbing the government and poor senior citizens blind?)

Loudoun Hospital supports the county's plan to build 3 hospitals and 5 healthcare centers across the WHOLE county. In no way can that be construed as opposing expanding access to healthcare. So, it's fibbing to say otherwise! Shame!

My opposition to HCA's tactics, ethics and location is well documented in previous threads such as the original Flame war. I still don't think a hospital belongs in Broadlands, but I don't want a corporate mega center either. I do want another hospital in Loudoun, preferable not HCA but we get what we get. We can't force Inova to build one.

You can't post the emails but you can share them with others than your trusted circle. I am a fair, moderate person who is analytical (Computer Scientist). I am willing to look at them in that way. By withholding that evidence it can't be validated and your claims hold no merit and to continue to wave that stick makes you lose credibility. I can claim that Vacliff (just an example!) hit me and that I have pictures of the bruise but I wont show the pictures to anyone but my friends and family. That excuse is lame and a cop out. If you truly have evidence it can be sanitized for public consumption similiar to FOIA request. Also, some of us may be able to trace those emails back. There are lots of computer geeks on here. And this issue affects everyone not the Pro or Anti crowd.

SK8R: Thank you for sharing this. Maybe the HCA-supporters will stop point fingers now since this information comes straight from the HCA/HOA leader!!!

Welcome back to the forums, MaryJo and chris. You have both been very vocal in this thread. That is why I find it interesting that NEITHER of you have responded to the challenges posted earlier this week, and that you BOTH have been away from the forums for 3 straight days. Now, BOTH of you have come roaring back, playing off of each other's posts. MaryJo's posts evoking sympathy for her "situation" and chris' predictable response (I'm sorry you have been dragged into this; "It is a shame that many people in this forum would prefer to attack a mother...") go together like peas and carrots.

vweisenburg is the only pro-BRMC person who has alleged receiving hate e-mails -- no pro-BRMC person has ever said anything about receiving phonecalls or regular mail. E-mails are not the issue. Clearly, e-mails can be sent through the forums without providing the sender any of the recipient's personal information.

However, both you and MaryJo have alleged seeing mail and "hearing accounts" of the phone threats. MaryJo saw this mail only one day after signing onto these forums. Pretty convenient, if you ask me.

So lets give you the benefit of the doubt and say that both sides received hate e-mails through these forums. What about the regular mail and the phone threats, though???

    Chris,

Did you go to an ultra liberal college out west, b/c you use the same tactics. Not one of my posts support your conclusion. I hate HCA. I hate privatized healthcare. I hate insurance companies. But we need a hospital and I was pro LHC before they started the same stuff HCA does. (And before I found out how bad LHC can be)

That plan came was after they failed to maintain monopoly. That is the same thing as HCA adding "philanthropic services" after their first COPN failed - which I'll believe when I see it.

Again, I'm a nuetral who you painted pro. It's hard to support your side when you do that.

Pats: You seem to think that it is strange concept for people to communicate OUTSIDE of these forums. I hate to tell you this and make your world crumble down, but some people actually talk to their neighbors FACE TO FACE outside of these forums! GASP! How can it be?

So, I talk to Mary Jo. We're friends. Is that such a problem for you? Maybe you think that people can only talk on the net? Not me.

My final word on this is that the emails that were shared with me are truly horrific. Due to the forum rules, they cannot be posted here (not my rules, read the rules yourself). As for how people could have gotten access to personal email addresses, I'm no tech expert but I talked to some friends who are. They said that if the email addresses are not publicly viewable, they probably are accessible by the people who run the forum. The HOA controls this forum, right? So, my question is... Does the HOA have access to our email addresses?

Again, you avoid the issue falling back on "forum rules". Use [Bleep] in place of bad words. Emails can be sanitized and traced abck to the source through headers. You can email those to Pats and I as well. You have provided no good reason that you can't share these outside of your circle of friends who are philosophically aligned with you therefore the only conclusion I can come to without seeing evidence is that you and MaryJo conspired to make the Anti side look bad. If you do indeed have evidence please share. We can come up with ways of sanitizing it from all of the children that we see posting on this forum.

Like I said before, Loudoun Hospital supports the county's plan to build 3 hospitals and 5 healthcare centers across the WHOLE county. In no way can that be construed as opposing expanding access to healthcare. No reasonable person can contradict that unless s/he loves HCA.

In your email you use the word "HATE" far too many times. That sort of rage cannot be healthy. I worry for your mental well-being. You seem to be a pretty decent person most of the time. I hope that you can overcome the hate and stop defining yourself in terms of "hating this or hating that." It's really unhealthy.

Also, as a side note, I went to a conservative school, the University of Virginia. I also work in a conversative field in the healthcare industy. I'm no ultra-liberal, just a middle-of-the-road moderate who happens to know all too well what HCA has done.

Whatever. I'm still convinced, now more than ever, that chris=MaryJo. I'm particularly annoyed that I shared a personal issue of mine with MaryJo, when it is my belief that she doesn't exist, except in your mind. I have learned my lesson about doing something like that in the future.

And please, stop talking about the e-mails. Let's call it a wash between the pro and anti hospital sides. You still provide no explanation for how these "victims" received threatening phone calls and regular mail.

Ah! That explains it! Hokie Hokie Hi Tech Tech VPI. Your posts come of way far to the left. I would have never guessed you for a centrist at all. I consider myself moderate centrist and you skew left on some of the issues I've seen. I've course I may be skewing right on those.

As for the word "Hate", I've always been prone to drama and expressing my emotions instead of bottling them up. As some have said to me, "You seem to thrive on confrontation". That's me! One step away from falling under the dark side of force.:) Seriously, I do have strong opinions about business ethics. But your response begs the question, would you be for Inova building a hospital in Broadlands?

    Chris,

The HOA does not have access to view any member of our forums. Only a select few on the Technology Committee do, any HOA requests for member details have to come through us and we have only had one such request which was over a year ago. If you and HOA wants us to investigate these emails, please send us an email. We are tech experts and can most likely trace these emails.

I agree, Homer. I also consider myself neutral on this issue. To tell you the truth, though, the more I read the constructive posts from the anti-hospital side (by posters like coopstar and Brooks5), the more I am swayed by their arguments. Unfortunately, the constructive posts of these and others are drowned out by chris' rhetoric.

I have talked to anti-hospital people who think that chris does more harm for her "side" than good. I agree with that assessment. She is a polarizing and divisive member of these forums who, for some reason, just makes me want to take the opposite side of whatever side she is on. The fact that she twists the facts into impossible contortions and has now resorted to making stuff up just reinforces my feelings.

Well, she's not the only one polarizing. There are folks on the Anti side who do that although I don't think Vacliff is one of them. It's good to have new folks in these debates. Both sides are in sore need of level heads who have not been waging this war since the original thread.

You need reading glasses (gee, I guess that is an attack in your eyes) because my earlier post where you THINK I attacked you states that I did NOT question your judgement one iota.

Also, please stop the overly sensitive "mother" routine. I am much to jaded for that tactic. You think you are the only one who wants decent health care?

And what "cruel" remarks are you referring to? You say HCA supporters are denying healthcare, and I say anti-HCA people are denying helthcare. If my remarks are cruel than your are no better.

I do not want to deny you, your child, or anyone healthcare, but MY opinion is that we need another hospital and if HCA can bring it soonest, than so be it.

And BTW, your "sweet, innocent, motherly, love my children, stop bullying me" act doesn't wash with me. I am much too jaded for that!
If you are truly bothered by it (which I doubt), STAY OUT OF THE FORUMS!
