Interesting...we've had two houses with separate systems upstairs and downstairs and in both cases the upstairs one (in the attic) was a heat pump.

    Thanks for the update.

Last night, my heater went on the fritz again for the same exact reason...I finally pulled the parts out and knocked the pressure switch on the floor to try to get the stuff out and then took the tube and cleaned it more out then I also blew the stuff out on the fan....also took a toothpick and cleaned it out...Took a while before the ignitor came back on....

Went to Tribles today and bought two of them...Prices have gone up from 20 bucks to 31 bucks...so costs definitely went up. The fan is 100.50 plus tax and the pressure switch is around 40 bucks...

    Soooooo

+1 to Climatic. They went above and beyond to what is expected.

yea my low level furnace has stopped working on me 2-3 times in the past month... very frustrating. Like Capricorn I went back to the same approach, cleared the hose, used a paperclip on the nozzle to clean it and this time just for the heck of it, I banged on the vent pipe leading into the fan area.... and I was able to get it to ignite again each time after trying for about 10 minutes.

So I am really wondering if I need to start replacing actual parts....
