Help! Good, honest auto repair close to Broadlands?

    For Volvo, Saab, BMW and Mercedes you can't do better than Ahsburn European Automotive Service Center @ 45746 Woodland Road, Dulles, VA 20166. 703 406 4000. The ownder, Glen is a Broadlands resident too.

    I would avoid Curry's automotive. I've heard some nightmares about them and their ethics.

    I second the warning on Curry. My son tried them for an inspection and they wanted almost $1,000 to fix a steering problem, and they found another $1,500 of other work they recommended be done.

    We took his car to our usual garage (Absolut Auto) and they confirmed the steering problem but the cost was a more reasonable $450. They said most of the items on Curry's list were not problems at all.

    Hi Everyone,
    I would also warn against Curry's - we've had some problems there.

    We use The Auto Shop off 606 which is right after the Greenway traffic light (if you are coming from AOL/Commuter lot area).

    The owner's name is Carl and he has been very good to us. The number is 703-464-3650.

    We have taken several cars there and he has always been very patient and goes over everything before he fixes it.

    Update, I now need to retract my recommendation, after 8 years of service, Dulles Automotive has changed hands recently and service has suffered. Today I had the worse experience I've ever had with a garage. I would avoid them, I may try Fallon automotive, I hear good thingstuff about them.
