In the excitment of unpacking we lost the little HOA coupons that came in the mail.

Can we pay our dues for the year so we don't have to worry about a monthly fee?

Can someone shoot me the info we need so I can send in our November dues?

    thanks!

Check should be payable to Broadlands and mailed to Broadlands c/o Armstrong Management P O Box 7778 Philiadelphia, PA 19101-7778. I imagine if you note your name and address with your check it would be applied appropriately. cj

You can also call Armstrong Management Services at 703.385.1133 for more information about your account. Ask to speak to Kathy Helton. You can pay in advance (at no discount, but wouldn't that be great if we could get one, cliff?) or set up direct debit.

Sorry Jan, but I don't think "discounts" on HOA fees would be a good idea and probably illegal. If someone gets a discount, then someone else has to pay more to make up for it.

vacliff, I think you need to take a basic finance course in time value of money. The benefit is a bit on $$ saved for the homeowner, and the HOA receiving a full yrs $$ in JAN. There's no reason why the homeowners that didn't take advantage of the benefit would get charge more $$.

Since the HOA dues are equal to the amount of money projected for expenses divided by the number of homes in the HOA, where would the extra money come from if they provided a discount? How would the HOA know how many would pay ahead in order to raise the HOA fees for everyone in order to cover the discount for some??

The interest from holding the $$ collected in January until expended. A homeowner should be able to save 2-3% off the annual payments.

    newfdog-
If you would like to take on this project and show how it's feasible, feel free to get in touch with our Budget Committee to see if it could work. If it's achievable, I would support making it available to those who would like to do it.

Sounds great to me...I'd be in for paying upfront in order to save some money.

Then I could subtract the money I saved from the part of the HOA fee that goes to Openband and feel a little better about paying too much for poor services.:)
