You need to seal them once or twice per year. This is a ten minute process.

The best way to clean the counters is with antibacterial soap and hot water. I do this, by putting the soap onto a dish -scrubber, and wet the counter down., scrub softly in circles an area 3 feet or so long. Then I take a fresh sponge with hot water and clean it off. This takes about three wipes. continue the process until all counters are cleaned. Lastly, I wipe off the water with paper towels. This needs to be done either daily or weekly.

I do not use any spray-on products as they tend to leave a halo behind and as far as using Windex, I don't want that on my hands or food.

You only need to polish them monthly. - which is done mainly to enrich the color of the stone.

This information was supplied to me by Planit Granite from a recent question I had about sealing granite. They said that the product they use for sealing and polishing come from Lowe's. They ARE NOT talking about the three pack of " cleaners and polishers" from Home Depot's kitchen area.

If you want the whole faxed sheet I have reagarding how to do all the above mentioned instructions, you can contact me and I can send it to you. There is a definite process involved in keeping your counters looking smart; if you're willing to take some minutes out to do so. They are an expensive investment and to keep them looking new for your enjoyment and for resale value is worth it in my book:)
