Need Help! I need a witness, desperately!! Re: CAR ACCIDENT

Hello and my name is Sheila and has been a Broadlands resident since 2000. I was involved in a car accident on February 24th, 2010 Thursday night between 6:30-7pm and it occurred at the intersection of Broadlands Blvd and Claiborne Pkwy. I was driving a '08 Honda Odyssey and the other car involved was a Hyundai Tucson. I was going straight on Broadlands Blvd heading towards the Safeway Shopping Center and the other lady was coming from Broadlands Blvd trying to make a left onto Claiborne Pkwy......I'm sure there were witnesses but I was unable to concentrate on trying to get a witness because I had 3 kids in the backseat and their safety was my utmost priority. The lady who was making a LEFT onto Claiborne Pkwy told the police "I swear I had a green arrow" which implies that I had a red light....I know for a fact I had a GREEN light...Unfortunately, my passengers ages 14,13 and 10 could not be used as witnesses; therefore, It's her word against mine and I need someone to pleeease come forward if they witnessed anything...This is very important and I would appreciate anyone's help....Please pass this info to everyone who may be able to help. Similar accident happened to me sometime back. I had green and the other lady sweared that she had green arrow. We both did not have witnesses. However, the officer said one thing. Whether you have green arrow or not, when you are making a left turn, oncoming traffic always have right of way and he charged the other lady.

Hope, the officer involved in your accident case will also use this baseline.

 

Unfortunately, this is not the same officer!! He said it was her word against mine and could not give anyone a ticket unless I had a witness. I'm really trying to find a witness. I am posting a personal ad on the Broadlands HOA Newsletter but is not coming out until April since the March newsletter was already printed and ready for distribution. Thanks for your input

 

Maybe try posting signs near the intersection where it happened. Good luck!

 

Am I allowed to do that??? I posted signs at Giant and Safeway on their Community Bulletin Board and I was really thnking about that idea you suggested but I wasn't sure if I was allowed to do that. Who could I call to ask?

 

I'm afraid they would be taken down. Signs that are not approved by the County's signage ordinance will be removed....I'm only the messenger here!

 

why not post them at starbucks, the postal masters by safeway, etc. best of luck to you!
