Well If this place ever comes to Ashburn I will be in Heaven! They are by fr the best burgers for a drive in pkace, and to go, they already have them wrapped halfway (like at Red Robin's). Their Fries are deliciuos. Had them on the last visit to CA.

Around here, my family likes the Angus burgers at Brick Oven. We only order pizza from Manhattan Pizzaria.

You're not kidding!!!! I used to spend a lot of time in the Bay area, and love In and Out Burger. My husband didn't get why it was on my list of things we had to do while out that way on our last trip...now he understands!

Agreed. I make a point to eat there at least once during my quarterly trips to NorCal.

Hmm...Sure seems ridiculous that we can't get them to come out here? It's a shame we all have to go to CA to vist friends or family, for vacation or work just to go there. You are right about the list. A freind of my DH said we had to try it last time we went out. Sure glad we did

I *believe* it's still family owned, and they won't franchise it.

Yep, the web site confirms. They are quite large though with over 140 locations (as of 1999) in the CA/NV/AZ region. However while InNOut is a memorable experience, I'd not trade Five Guys for it. If you are comparing strictly drive-thru style fast food though it would be tops, at least in my opinion.

Tomy Burger in SoCal. Where gang members & cops in south central can eat the worlds best chili cheeseburger in harmony. We all CAN get along. ;)

I guess the experience is very subjective. I compare them to Five Guys and compare both to Burger King or MacDonalds. You definitely want to be famished when you go there!:eww:

Sorry KTdid, but how can you take a no flavor flattened hamburger with a bun that falls apart at Five Guys and compare that to in and out burger?

Oh..don't apologize brassy, it's matter of personal taste. In an Out was recommended when I traveled to Vegas. On our way there, our driver said if we changed our minds he could recommend a number of places to go where we would not be disappointed. We insisted and oh well...the rest is history - I'll never go back. Next thing you know everyone will be singing the praises of White Castle burgers!

Sliders!!! Sliders!!!! I crave my Sliders!!!! I have to meet my fix around here by buying the frozen ones. I was in Manhattan last week and hit the Castle on 8th Ave and 37th St.

LOL. Actually, White Castle burgers are pretty good - especially after a night out on the town. cliff you're brave though to eat the frozen ones:eek:

I've never had White Castle, but we've got Krystal in the south which is pretty much the same thing. If I hadn't sworn off fast food, I'd eat there for every meal...so greasy and good. :(

I've been to Krystal's. I've eaten at Krystal's. Krystal's is NOT White Castle!!

    You're right...it's better!

I, too, had to eat those frozen White Castles while I was up there to get my pseudo-Krystal fix. I seem to remember Shoppers Food Warehouse having frozen Krystal's at some point...
