Hello - My wife and I will be moving into the Broadlands in a couple of weeks. We are new to Virginia. We have an 8 year old son who was on a swim team in our previous neighborhood. We are looking for swim team recommendations for this upcoming fall, indoor/winter swim teams. Any recommendations are appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Mike

Including SNOW, there are several other teams such as NCAP that practice at Claude Moore during the Winter, Fall, and Spring. The other indoor pools with swim teams are Lifetime Fitness and Ashburn Village.

We do SNOW. Depending on the level of involvement, there is a clinic we highly recommend. They practice 1x/week (Saturday early afternoon) at Claude Moore. They are mostly focused on fun, stroke mechanics, and there are no meets. We did this for like three years and we really thought it was a great program. Coach Tom Swim Clinics (you can Google it). There is also a "Piranha Prep" that has a similar schedule although we don't have first-hand experience. PM me if you want more details on SNOW.

I would recommend seriously considering NCAP. Its a world class swim program with outstanding coaches.
