Injured or Orphaned Wildlife

    If you spot injured or orphaned wildlife, please do not bring it to the Nature Center as we do not have the permits or facilities to care for these animals. Please call the Local Wildlife Hotline at 703-440-0800. They will give you information and take the animal if necessary.
    Also, please remember, many animal parents do leave their young alone at times. Please do not take a baby animal unless you know it is injured or you KNOW that the mother is dead. Please call the wildlife hotline for more information on what to do in these cases.
