We upgraded Yosemite on our iMac not realizing it no longer supports iPhoto. After reading so many negative reviews about the iPhoto upgrade (ie. losing photo libraries), I'm afraid to upgrade iPhoto. Anyone have success with the iPhoto upgrade? Should we just wait until Photos gets released?

We had been using iphoto for years, but this year our mac was to old and too out of date to order holiday cards (from Apple). I guess we've been disowned in a sense :) Really a shame as Apple made beautiful cards, MUCH nicer than the shutterfly card we created this year.

As much as I love the hardware I think we're done with mac though, lightroom and windows going forward. After 4 years the display was dead, the DVD drive was dead and the battery was dead. I only hooked it up once a year to print holiday cards on a Dell monitor. Although if they went back to the magsafe connector I would reconsider, that was a fantastic design that save us many times...
