Sad. I was hoping he'd hang in for one more go-round as there has been progress each year.

He's a class act and an exceptional man. But I think his game management, play calling and player personnel decisions left much to be desired this time around. Given their talent level, they played below expectations virtually every year.

I have no idea who can replace him, but I hope it's a solid, long-term choice.

I would imagine that Williams has the inside track.

I believe that he is the players choice, but I wonder if it would be wise to pick someone that is the complete opposite of Gibbs. Thn again, maybe that's what they need. I also read that there are no hidden conditions in Williams' contract about automatically becoming head coach when Gibbs resigned or a bonus if he doesn't get it.

I'm from Buffalo and a Bills fan (closet). Williams was the head coach up there and was terrible. I vote for a HEAD coach...like Cohwar (sp). Williams did NOTHING for the Bills and they were very glad to get rid of him. Now - he's done a fine job with the Redskins - but my vote is NOT as a head coach.
