I am new to the area and I am in desperate need of a stylist that can do full weaves and extensions. Someone mentioned Mz. Fade'm Up s in Herndon - has anyone been there and liked it? I also need to know if there is a good place to buy real human hair because I have been told you need to bring your hair with you to the apointments? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

you can buy hair at sally's in sterling next to toys r us. if you sign up for a discount card it is totally worth it when buying hair.
there is a pretty cheap weave place in the clock tower in sterling by the chick fil a and the burlington coat factory, but i forget the name of it. i have never gone for a weave there but would have this last time if i hadn't decided on clip ins.
good luck! we want pictures! ;)

Hi Renee - I called and was told that Nicki does not work on caucasian womens' hair. Don't suppose you have any other ideas? I went to Mz Fade Em Up in Herndon and within a week the extensions were so loose that they were falling out and the closure was stitched to far from my hairline. It is incredibly frustrating as I am doing this because of severe hair loss and not because I just want long hair. If you have any other ideas please let me know. I need to find someone who can stitch in 4 rows of extensions and a front closure - I decided to ditch the whole head weave idea. Thanks!

Hi Sunny - I decided to purchase the hair through the International Hair Company online - it is a special order so it will take 4 to 6 weeks. Have you ever heard of them or used them? Still looking for a good stylist - I went to the one in Sterling that you mentioned and the woman did not understand what I was asking her so I decided to stay clear....
I find it funny that over 200 people read my post but only 2 replied - I can not be the only 39 year old white girl losing a lot of her hair - am I? And yes I have been to a million doctors and there is nothing they can do. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Resa...Call Four Seasons Salon and Spa at Dulles Town Center (they are located on the lower level of the mall next to Nordstrom). Ask for Allison. I personally do not have weaves or extensions, but I have seen her do extensions on a Caucasian female. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I have never ordered hair online, just make sure it is human hair and Ihope you get a nice texture.
I had a weave done in Vienna over 10 years ago and it was great- but I can't remember the name of the salon....it was near the Micro Center...........who knows if the stylist is still there and I can't remember her name.
If you have hair loss that might contribute to how fast the weave loosens. Get one of the looped brushes so you are not pulling at your hair when you brush it, and maybe ask your next stylist if she will tighten it up for you if it loosens within 2 weeks.
2 weeks is really all any stylist will promise. I kept mine in for 2 months, but it was loose- and I had copious amounts of hair so I could hide it well.
I really like the clip ins...so much cheaper but you have to take them in and out.
I wish I could corn row- I would do it for you!!!!

Is Mr. Ray still around? He might be able to help with the weaves.
