and snarky instigating posts must run in your family.:blahblah::blahblah::blahblah:

However back to the topic - my opinion of the services (ei courtyard homes) by HLS is the converse of Qzp's - but in the past 4 years it has improved.

But we are talking about grass and IMO - there are a variety of more important topics that affect our community.

And you have called some of my posts mean-spirited.

Something about stones and glass houses comes to mind.

Guess someone likes to hold a grudge.

It wouldnt suprise me if Cliff dismisses these photos, and your aggravation.

Some likely responses from our president
    • You could have taken these photos of any grass anywhere.
    • This land could be under Van Metre control, and not HOA control.
    • Not all common areas are meant to be maintained regularly.
    • It is going to cost more money to keep up with the growth in the Spring. Are you prepared to pay more?
    • Some areas get overlooked. Just let the HOA office know. The forums are not official communication.
    • I checked out this area. It looked fine to me.
    1. Yes, it is harder to keep up with the grass this Spring. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't keep pushing our contractors to make sure that they are doing their best.
    2. HLS has been maintaining this property for years. By now they should have a schedule and not overlook areas.

PC Gamer, thanks for providing photos. I thought about doing it myself, with a ruler, but figured that anything I posted would be dismissed without consideration.

Dude, you REALLY should just let it go. You are starting to sound more like Lee with every new post.

If you have issues, stop using the forums and use the OFFICIAL method by contacting the Management Team at the Nature Center and let them handle your concerns. That is THEIR job.

    Mr. Rogers-
Don't blame me when I look into your "concerns" and find them to be total fabrications.
You may think it's fun to make up stories and make me waste my time trying to track down your falsehoods, but I don't.
Continue with your silly juvenile games.

And lastly, yes, I will continue to dismiss you, not other residents that may have a legitimate concern.

I know that I shouldn't have, but I couldn't resist! :devil2: At least I retain some humor and my posts make sense (I think).

T8, you could have just posted "DUDE :rolleyes3:" and I would have known what you meant. :pofl:

    Dude

T8erman, Mr. Rogers has been taking shots at the HOA ever since he got cited for a trashcan violation many months ago. We're the 'bad guys' now, and nothing is going to change that in his mind. And you're correct, his postings are similar to Lee's; many involve taking a pot-shot at the HOA or at Cliff, and many have the same 'the HOA and Cliff are evil' theme behind them. Interesting that this individual chooses to voice his disgust with the HOA so loudly here on the forums, and yet not a peep from him at HOA Board meetings.

Alas, I challenge you to please provide proof that I have posted any "total fabrications" of my own creation. (The definition of fabrication is a "deliberately false account"). I beleive that you will find my posts guilty of falling more into the "exaggeration", "hearsay" and "unsubstantiated" categories. I usually beleive what I hear and read from my friends, family, and neighbors.

So, you admit that your postings fall into the categories of "exaggeration", "hearsay" and "unsubstantiated"? Put those all together and, to me personally, you're awfully very close to "fabrication"! :rolleyes3:

Now do you understand why you've lost so much credibility amongst users here? Keep that in mind when you start making more accusations/jabs in your future postings. You've basically just admitted that much of what you post has nothing to back up your statements and that they could be totally false...

    My response to your challenge:
    1) You make a post talking about grass "well over 12 inches" on Chickacoan Trail Drive, the HOA/HLS not doing their job, and two of your neighbors receiving letters about the length of their lawn.

    2) I contact the HOA office and find out NO lawn letters sent in the month of April.

    3) You then say the letters were received in March and explain how their lawn was able to grow so long so early in the year.

    4) I confirm with the HOA office that no letters sent in March.

    5) You then claim "that's what I was told" and attack me for pointing out these falsehoods. You then state what a great person you and your business is. I can only assume to try and save face for being outed as making inaccurate accusations.

    6) I then ride my bike down Chickacoan Trail Drive, there is NO grass anywhere near as long as you state and HLS was starting to mow it.

    7) You then claim that 4 days transpired and the grass must have been cut. Through clear observation, and confirmation from HLS, the grass was not cut in those four days.

    8) You then say "go look at the median of Broadlands Blvd."

Others can make their own judgement as to your intent.

It would seem that some folks need to get a life ... or at least a hobby. There are WAY more important things to spend your energy on then contemplating measuring grass.... I mean just WRITING that sounds over the top. HOA's are a double edge sword. I lived in Dale City as a youth .. believe me I know what happens when there is no regulation, but I also get frustrated at the control of an HOA. For instance, I would love to turn the weed patch that currently in my "front lawn" (townhouse) into a lovely garden and have some climbing wisteria or clemantis over my door. However, I am fairly sure that would be frowned upon. But having impeccable taste ;) I would do it with panache!

Marie - as Cliff said, submit an application.

I think you would be surprised at how much stuff actually gets approved by the Modifications Sub-Committee.

    A. I was cited twice in 48 hours for my trashcan violation.
    B. I don't comment on everything that the HOA/VanMetre does, just the things that don't make sense to me.
    C. I don't think that the HOA or Cliff are evil. I am just awaiting the time that something heroic comes from our HOA regarding Van Metre's denial of our self governance. The current situation rings of the 1770's. Some dissenters (me) are looking for our leaders to lead us into combat.
    D. I long for the days of the garbage can posts. 15 pages of passionate posts about a heated issue, but no one lost their sense of perspective or humor.
