The food is only an added bonus for me. I mostly want a Mexican restaurant close for the margaritas! On The Border anyone?

Doesn't some Monk order live off of it? It's a meal in a glass!

Agree with you Sunny. We have been there several times and have always been pleased with the food and service!

Another mark against it is the jukebox, it should be filled with irish diddies, soccer chants, and classic rock. While I was there I heard Tracy Chapman...defiently NOT pub music.

I think it is amazing the things that people can find to complain about. First of all, I like pubs. I like Guinness (which the Broadlands Pub offers- just not on tap). I like Tracy Chapman. AND I am a Broadlands Resident. They have appealed to me on 3 levels already. They have a neat golf game there too. Anyway- it's in WALKING DISTANCE for all of us- I don't need anymore reason than that[:p]

I was half kidding about the Tracy Chapman. :)

Golden Tee is a classic bar game, we used to have tournaments back in college. :)

    Sunny-
Ah, but it just isn't the same. No comparison between tap and a can. And besides, us here in Broadlands.....we want it ALL and we want it NOW!!!!!!![:p]

I think they started out with a thin menu, food and drink wise, to keep costs low while they got some traction goin'. If we all go there, alot, and request Guiness on tap ... they will probably do so :)

Had pizza from the "brick oven" place by Circle K and I really wasn't that impressed. It's not any better than Dominio's or Pizza Hut. Thick crust & just nothing special.

They've said the adjacent wall (behind the baar) is being torn down to make a horseshoe-shaped bar and the space will be used for DJs or live bands, etc. Sounds like the babies in strollers are in trouble....they might not return for another 20 years or so.

Look's like the new pizza place next to the Fins and Feathers is getting close to opening - finally! The one in Herndon got good reviews.

Speaking of bars. Anyone heard anything new about Clydes?

Clyde's is supposed to start pushing dirt by September and open late 2005, early 2006.
