Does anyone have any suggestions for a furniture store that sells simple kitchen tables? I have looked at several stores in the Ashburn area and all they carry are the fancy dining room tables. I am thinking about driving down to Ikea, but the drive is a tad far for me. I am specifically looking for a tile-top kitchen table and chair set.

    Thanks!!

Try "Dinettes & Stools" in Herndon. They are located in the shopping plaza right on Elden Street. 400 Elden Street. Phone 703-736-5554. We bought bar stools and a kitchen table & chairs from them. Very good service and prices.

Try the 2-Day Furniture Outlet in Chantilly down Willard Road off Rt28. They're only open on weekends.

Whatever you do, stay far, far away from The RoomStore...probably the shadiest place around...they'll say anything for a sale (and good luck waiting). And their customer service is atrocious...we bought some furniture from them and wasted literally a total of hours and hours on the phone with them. They lost our order about 8 times (no joke) and wouldn't let me speak with the manager. We eventually filed a complaint with the BBB and now they're _finally_ responding. They're not doing anything about damaged deliveries (except swapping with more damaged stuff) so we're trying to get our money back for everything so we can buy from more honest, reputable places. We've learned our lesson. I hope other places are better or at least responsive to their customers.

No, the 2-Day Furniture outlet is different from the Weekend Furniture store. It is the outlet store for Stanis furniture. The Weekend Furniture store is in Chantilly on the other side of Willard Road. You can see it from Route 28 just past Route 50.

    Sonnguyen,

I would have to second your comment. We bought some furniture there about 2-3 years ago and it was probably the most aweful experience I have ever had... Took us close to a year to finally get everything we had ordered delivered correctly. Wrong items were being shipped, or they were defective, etc... Stay away from these folks...

    Update:
Thank you to all for your input on assisting me find a table. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for at Dinettes and Stools in Herndon. I ordered the table on May 24th, and I still don't have my table yet. I have been calling trying to get a status update on my order, but all I am getting is an attitude from the store manager. I was able to borrow their display table for an event (the reason I need the table ASAP), but I had to go get the table myself and then assemble it. They wouldn't even deliver the loaner to me, even though I had pay for delivery on my table.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! The customer service is horrible. Once they have your $$, say good bye to the niceities, and say hello to the attitude.

Just an FYI...Kitchen's Etc in Sterling (Target shopping center) has a good selection of simple dinettes. Also World Market has really nice stuff (more pricey but better quality). For future reference.

Oh and Roomstore is a great experience if you like being bombarded AS SOON AS you step foot in the door. They reminded me of Nationwide Warehouse (remember those obnoxious commercials?). We have a few items from Roomstore and quality is not worth what they charge.

We had horrible service with Stanis the one time we attempted to buy furniture from them. The item we special ordered was discontinued and no one botehred to tell us that until the date it was originally scheduled to be delivered six weeks later. Then, we had to jump through hoops to get our deposit refunded and when we went into the store to get our check, we had to wait two hours to get it.

Even though most of the items are on the fancy side, we bought our dinette set from imi and the service was outstanding and so is the quality of the set.

Thumbs up also to Belfort Furniture and the way they handled a manufacturer's defect with a full refund even though the contract said all they had to do was get us a replacement for the defective furniture. The sofa we bought isn't holding up well but the service was quite good.

    Hello there,

I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience with Roomstore. I was really surprised to read your experience as I did not have any problem with that store. I also bought a livingroom set, and after close to a year later, when I found a defect on the furniture, it was replaced with a brand new piece within 2 weeks. No hassel, not waiting whatsoever...

I have a very nice light oak table and six chairs, purchased late Nov 2003 and used for a couple of weeks. I paid $600 for the set will sell for $350.00. It is plain with no title on top. It is a lovely set but not long after we purchased we sold our home and now it is to large for our townhouse. The set is in mint condition. I live in Herndon off Frying Pan road if you are interested.
