We are new to the neighborhood. We just moved in a couple of months ago. We decorated our front yard with our young kids with Christmas decorations that they picked out, which included a big blow up Santa Claus (about 4 feet tall) that plugs into an extension cord (and was staked to the ground).

I stepped outside this morning and found our Santa Claus GONE. Just to be safe, I drove through the neighborhood to see if he had somehow blown away, but he is nowhere to be found. The cord that he was plugged into is even missing.

A few weeks back there were some teenage kids hanging out on our wooden swing in our backyard. They started yelling rude things at my husband when he questioned what they were doing, and then they ran off. Come to find, someone busted out a bunch of the wooden rungs on the seat of the swing that are not fixable.

We chalked it up to teenagers just being dumb, but now this? This is totally unacceptable.

If anyone has any information, please contact me.

Wow. Our neighbors are pretty amazing. They spread the word, located Santa, and put him back in our yard. Thank you, neighbors! Happy Holidays!

Was he blown away or did you get another indication that someone found him somewhere "else"?

Our fabulous next door neighbor posted the missing Santa on her facebook account. A neighbor from another block spotted him on the side of the road and contacted her. Our neighbor retrieved Santa from the side of the road and relocated him to our yard. It is definitely possible that the wind was the culprit, but it is hard to imagine that the wind ONLY picked up Santa from our yard when he was staked AND our other blowup decorations stayed put. And the fact that he managed to travel to another street! Who knows. The good news is that he is back home...hehe. Our lovely neighbors are definitely going on the nice list this year.
