Are you state licensed? I thought the ratio for the state of Virginia was Five children per teacher from 18-24 months?

Yes, Virginia's system is actually a lot more complex. The State has point system based on age of each child that determines the number of children each adult can care for. Each adult can care for 16 points. Children 18-24 months are 3 points each. Children 2-4 yrs old are 2 points and children 5-10 yrs are 1 point. The 16 point max can be reached with many configurations: 16 - five year old, 8 - three year olds or 5 - 18-23 month olds. We stay well below the legal requirements with only have 6 kids in a class with ages from 18 months - 5 yrs old. No single class has all 18-23 month olds. We actually only accept a few 18-23 month olds that we feel are ready for what the other 2/3 yr olds are doing. Hope this helps eliminate an confusion. Give me a call if you'd like to set up a tour
