I will post web sites/info regarding natural methods of pest control for home and garden issues--

www.eartheasy.com (Earth Easy has great non-toxic pest control methods and info. Their methods/sprays really work.
Check out their links for Natural Pest Control.)

Earth Easy is also a great resource of sustainable living, organic gardening/farming, and alternative home info.

Also, a reader of Earth Easy's wrote in about a simple method of deer control. They suggested tying a piece of fragrant soap to the middle branch of the bush and the deer would not eat the leaves on their plants. Since we live "in the country" and farm--we also used this in our garden area last year--and it works well. The deer do not like the taste of fragrant soaps.

For Deer Control--we also recommend the following. My Mennonite grandfather who is a farmer told of this trick and it works well for large (or small vegetable gardens.) He had read this at Gardeners Net and tried the method. Also, check out a web site which is a HUGE resource for deer control and other garden-related isses.

The deer DO NOT LIKE the scent of fabric softener sheets (i.e. Bounce or any other brand). You type the fabric sheets to stakes in your gardens and the deer will not go near the scented sheets. The scent deters the deer. The site also lists flowers that deer DO NOT like. Plant these flowers and see deer problems be reduced.

Web sites for Natural Pest Control and Other Garden issues--

www.gardenersnet.com (Gardeners Net site. Look for deer link info for pest control.)
www.extremelygreen.com (Extremely Green site for green and organic gardens.)
www.cleanairgardening.com (Clean Air Gardening site for organic gardens, etc.)
www.planetnatural.com (Planet Natural is a great site for Natural/Organic pest sprays, etc.)
www.farm-garden.com (Farm Garden site is one that we frequent for Farming and Organic Garden info. Also, for Sustainable Living products, etc.)
www.attra.org (Attra is great for organic and gardening questions. Huge resource on ALL issues related to nature and gardening. National Sustainable Information network and links.)
