They started running over a year ago, then replaced by Callaloo and some other food joint I forget, now back up again! Shame.

Redon1 - Well - my family certainly enjoys my cooking and I LOVE to cook, I made my brachiole for Christmas dinner, along with homemade raviolis and sauce. YUM! I make a ton and never have leftovers.....now I need to start over as my son always requests homemade Italian for his birthday dinner. Yes, it was the brunch buffet with the salmon and pasta salads, but we didn't really care for it then.....

to every naysayer who has already written this place off because of location, THINK AGAIN. what it lacks in location and ambience, it smashes expectations with brilliant, delicious cuisine. the food is tastier, better prepared, and healthier than so so SO many other places.

it's not cheap, and it shouldn't be. it's worth every penny, and it's worth a visit. don't write it off on someone else's opinion- check it out and PLEASE form your own! you won't regret it...

except you tyger- just assume it won't meet expectations and go home and cook something fabulous! ;) kidding. i hope you try it- its one place you just might be impressed by...

We ate at Paris Prestige last night and we really enjoyed it. They have beer and wine now and no wait. We were the only people there from 6-7pm...

Geez, if it wasnt for the 'e" on the end of 'mousse' - I wouldnt have guessed it was FRENCH :shakehead:

I've driven by a few times and I never see anyone in there, anytime of the day/night. They can't be doing very well, especially given the cost of rent for that spot.

Who really has a craving for French cuisine anyway? I mean, pizza.. sure, burgers.. sure... but French? Maybe French Fries..

folks- this place is still around and the food is as delicious as ever. the leek tart is simply wonderful- the filet is tender enough to cut with a FORK. the lamb- so delicious and a huge portion! everything from the fresh bread to the attentive service made our visit there delightful.

i KNOW the locaton is horrible- in old Ashburn in a dying plaza near the firestation, but it's really a delicious culinary experience and those who appreciate cuisine should give it a visit. it's not cheap, the menu isn't huge- but IT'S WORTH EVERY BITE.

    give it a shot! :)

Redon, you don't have your standard 'disclaimer' on your post:

You 'working' with this place or simply a 'fan'?

Just a fan, I don't post anything here anymore for anyone that I work with. Guess I better add a disclaimer to my sig block! Lol anyway, I have selfish motives, I don't want superior food to go away, its happened too often here.

Well, I decided to try this place out afterall, and I'm glad I did. The food was very good and the service was fine - the kitchen was not slow at all. We had our 4-yr old with us. For appetizers, we had some kind of seafood beignet - even I ate a few, and I normally don't like fishy dishes. For entrees, I had the filet and my husband had the lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly. We plan on going back again one day.

Took the family last night and it was outstanding - perfect portions, wonderfully fresh and the place is nice. I would definitely recommend giving it a try - the lamb was amazing!

Well, folks, I don't know how long this place will be with us. My wife and I went on a Saturday night about 3 weeks ago arriving at around 7:00 PM, and we were the only patrons in the place... well, until another couple came in as we were walking out. The food was good. Service is weird here, though. Let me explain.

We were greeted lukewarmly by the host/waiter and were told we could sit anywhere. So we did. The waiter brought over the menus for our perusal and offered us something to drink. We both went with water. He came back and filled the glasses... well, he filled mine halfway. I drank it within a matter of minutes, and it sat empty. For 10 minutes. The waiter was just gazing out the front window and completely ignored us. It sorta reminded us of the scene in Meet the Parents when Ben Stiller's at the airport gate and the agent won't let him board until his group is called, even though he's the only one there. He started back to our table and noticed that my glasses was empty, so he brought the pitcher to refill while he took our orders.

I remembered coming here a few months ago for lunch and having a delicious cheeseburger and that's what I was in the mood for. I couldn't find it on the menu so I asked our waiter about it. He actually snickered and gave me a condescending "Nonono" as in, "We don't serve that garabage here!" I went with the filet mignon and my wife got the boeuf bourguignon. Both were good, although maybe it's just my ignorance about French cooking, but my filet was really thin. The meal was about $50.

We probably won't be back... and it's too bad, because it's a neat idea for Ashburn and it's NOT A CHAIN!

Other things of note: The tables are equipped with rubber place mats and paper linens. The soda dispensing machine and beer coolers are in plain view. The kitchen while seemingly open, so patrons can watch the chef work, are not. The food is actually prepared behind that kitchen area in another. They really should have someone come in and work with them on presentation, I think.

Closed? Drove passed this morning and the makeshift banner sign was gone and it looked pretty empty.

That's a shame, the location was pretty unfortunate too. I can imagine somewhere like that would do much better in downtown Leesburg.
