New Garbage Cans

You could go knock on your neighbors' doors... the ones who are still putting their trash out in an old toter on the wrong day. I'm sure they'd appreciate your thoughtfulness.

 

How many times do you have to call before you get one? I called last week and was told I would get mine last Thursday. Still haven't gotten it. What is funny( and sad) is all my neighbors houses got theirs today, even the house that is sitting empty and up for sale. Maybe I'll walk over and take that one.

If you still have not recieved your trash toater instead of calling New Vision directly call the HOA office (703 729 9704) and let them know what street you are on. They are sending faxes over twice a day to New Vision and New vision is able to respond to them (the HOA) in a matter of hours as they have groups of streets and or addresses not just one at a time. Let the HOA know your address and if it is only you or if it is the entire street that has not been deliverd to. I know that the HOA office is working as hard as they can to get everyones trash issues resolved. Please try to remember when calling they are only the employees. The HOA board made the decision to switch companys so being upset at the employees does not help you as they only have the information that you give them.
Additionally New vision is still working on the recycling bins. There is suppose to be a shipment of them this week but I have not recieved any details on when they are expected to be deliverd. As soon as I have heard I will pass the information along.

Yeah, I called NV directly last week..... But I'll call the hoa tomorrow, sigh.

 

What's the latest ETA on recycle bins? I thought I read we were expecting them yesterday.

 

New Vision is expecting a shipment this week (they were hoping they would get them yesterday) . As of this morning I have not heard if they have recieved them or not. They should have them deliverd to the residents by the end of the week at latest but hopefully earlier then that.

I finally got a recycle bin this morning. BTW, it was not new. They were recyled recyling bins!

Still no trash toters on my street (SW Townhomes - Sweet Bay Terrace). But that doesn't bother me since I purchased my own when AAA didn't provide one.

 

Well ... that's good environmental behavior

 

I got mine too... new, made in Canada, eh! Now I just need our toter.... havent seen them yet on our street (Frame Sq)

 

Lucky you. We still haven' gotten a toter or a recycling bin. We don't need a toter but we really need a recycling bin, since our AAA one went MIA in one of the storms we had. I also wonder if we're the only ones, but it seems like we have way more recycling than trash, yet we get gigantic toters for trash and itty bitty bins for recycling...

 

We also have about a toter's worth of recycling and a recycling bin's worth of trash most weeks, so I sympathize with golfnut. NV's recycling bins are much deeper than AAA's, though, and I managed to stuff a lot more in there yesterday than I could have with the old bin. Can we get additional recycling bins from NV? Is there an additional charge?

 

I also put out more recycling than trash. In fact, we didn't even put our toter out today. I'll probably be calling NV soon to find out how to get more bins, but I'll wait until it seems like everyone got their first one.

 

Our whole street is still waiting for our recycling bins....

 

We only received ours yesterday; hopefully, they'll get to everyone else by the end of the week!

 

Recycling bins should all be out by the end of the week.
All toters have been sent out as well. If for some reason you do not have a toter, contact New Vision directly and they will get one delivered to you.

For those of you that want a second recycle bin or toter: New Vision normally charges a fee for additional bins/toters, but because of the problems we've had they will give them out at no charge. Simply call and ask (but please wait a week or so before asking for another recycle bin. Some of us (including me) are still waiting for the first one!

Our street got recycle bins on Wednesday, but nobody got toters except us (but we called). There are still some people that still don't even realize we've changed. How, I'm not sure. But someone just put their trash out! Oops!

 

We live in SW. Some houses in our street got their toters a week ago. Some houses received their toters yesterday. I also received mine yesterday.

I was surprised to see the toter. It is not one of those greenish toter with NV name on it. This is a tiny Rubbermaid toter you can buy it in Home Depot. Even my neightbors have got this tiny toters. Did NV run out of regular toters? I never complained about these toters as I knew they had practical difficulties in getting them over to Broadlands (spplier issue, etc). However, once I got it, I am disappointed.

How do I go about getting the regular NV toter?
