New Garbage Cans

Sent you an email. Did yours come from New Vision?

 

Falling Rock Te got their recycling bins yesterday.

 

We got ours! Now to call and ask for the 96 gallon sucker =) Thanks Staci et al!

 

I live on Hunters Green. We received cans and toters yesterday. Somehow now I received 2 of each. One must be a neighbors...

 

Cliff: Checked my garage. I have space for the big one so if you want the small one send me an email and we can trade.

Because of the delivery problems, New Vision will provide extra recycling bins FREE to residents that call and ask for one.

 

Are the big 96 gallon toters like the old AAA ones w/ attached lids? The small ones (townhouses) we got yesterday are the same you can get at home depot, etc...

 

Yes the 96 gallons have the lids attached
Note there is also suppose to be a 64 gallon one available that has the lids attached if you do not want the largest ones

The large ones are the same volume, just squatter in height & width & depth and marked with NV. The small ones are probably just like the rubbermaids you get from Home Depot. I'd use a magic marker to put your street number on it.

 

Yes -I found this out yesterday when I called them. I was surprised it was free - expecting to pay a few $ but actually I like the idea of two smaller ones better than one larger one. Makes dividing the recyclables up easier.

 

In the Southernwalk side, you can add Schenley Terrace to the list. We got our recycle bins, but no trash cans.

 

I'm new to Broadlands area and live in Overland Park. Can someone tell me what is the trash pickup schedule for this area. I know pickups are on Monday and Thursday, but what exactly are/are not they picking up. Thanks.

 

Monday is trash and yard waste (2 seperate trucks)
Thursday is trash and recycling (they do 3 trucks 1 paper 1 plastics, aluminum, and one trash)

 

Have all the trash cans been delivered? My street is hit or miss with who got the new cans. I still have the "temporary" ones they gave out. Will I get the New Vision can still?

Someone took, we lost, or somehow our lid was thrown away and the trash makes our garage smell.

 

They were not temporary cans they were the only onces they could get at the time, so they became your cans. If you want a different one all you have to do is call the company and they will deliver you a new one. The one they had brought me broke and they were very quick about bringing me a new one once I called it in. As for the rest of your street I am not sure if they refused the new cans or what my understanding was that every street was hit as of the end of June. If any of your neighbors want one and do not have one all they need to do is also call into the company and they will deliver one to them too. I had one of the smaller ones at 1st but they did replace it with one of there larger green ones just FYI.

Thanks Staci, I didn't realize that the 'temp cans' we got (ones that could be purchased from Home Depot) were actually our new cans. I was under the impression we were all getting green toters with New Vision and the TH were just getting smaller toters.

I will call and order my New Vision Toter. Thanks!
