    redon1 and others--

Glad you had an opportunity to visit Mexican Garden. Perhaps you can get them to advertise on your web site. Hope so--yes, Mexican food varies by location and varieties. Mexican Garden is better than some.

I have a couple other restaurants that I will be reviewing and reporting on soon. Not just Mexican--

I am also freelancing on some "foodie" blogs for local and sustainable foods. If you are interested, I can link you to the blogs later. All kinds of info on Organic and Local foods as well as conventional foods and places to dine! Farm festivals, etc. I will post later on new thread.

    Foodie:)

Does anyone know if this place is still open? The link to the website doesn't work and we need some Mexican food tonight!

It's probably too late to be helpful to you now but I think it's still open. I remember seeing flags along Route 7 advertising the restaurant last Sunday.

Thanks you guys, but I got out-voted when it came to dinner tonight. We might have to give Picante a try soon too!

They are open. By the power of suggestion we tried them today for lunch. We liked that the food had an authentic, homemade taste.

I love El Fresco in Chantilly, on Route 50 just west of Route 28 (near Picante the Real Taco, but better!). Delicious, fresh, reasonably priced food you order at the counter. Good service too, from the owner/manager who is always there.

I just saw in a mailing that Los Toltecos has a grand opening in Broadlands Center Plaza. They have other locations in Sterling, Fairfax, Winchester, Alexandria, and Lake Ridge.

Their website says they are coming to Ashburn. If they are indeed coming to the Broadlands Center Plaza, it could be a sign that this plaza has already hit bottom and is on its way back! Hopefully this is a trend that will be continuing and the property management company running that plaza has realized that gouging its tenants and empty spaces isn't the smartest way to make money with commercial property.

As someone who recently migrated from Sterling and is still in the process of trying to find my local restaurants this is definitely good news. We frequented Los Toltecos regularly with good results and are definitely looking to hit the new place.

    Hi,

See my post about the Los Toltecos restaurant opening for details on the "Los Toltecos..." thread. I posted where you can obtain BOGO or 1/2 off coupons to use also. Kids Eat Free info also.

    Hope this helps--:)
