New Restaurants By Chuck E Cheese's (dulles Town Center)

As I reported on the thread "2 Targets??", Lerner Enterprises is developing the restaurant pad around the mall to house two NEW restaurants. Mimi's Cafe and Benihana's Japanese Restaurant will be built by Chuck E Cheese's.

Washington Biz Journal stated that the restaurants will be open by early Spring 2007. It was in the 10/06 edition of WBJ.

Sweet a Benihanas. Nothing like a Benihana Christmas (yes we watch "the Office".)

 

I am looking forward to it but it may be a while - according to the Benihana website, it won't open until fiscal year 2008.

(NASDAQ: BNHNA; BNHN), operator of the nation's largest chain of Japanese theme and sushi restaurants, signed a definitive lease agreement for a new Benihana teppanyaki restaurant in the Dulles Town Center in Loudoun County, Virginia. The approximate 7,000 square feet restaurant will be built with a contemporary Japanese look and feel, utilizing the prototype design of WD Partners and is expected to be completed in fiscal 2008.

 

For many businesses, Fiscal Year 08 comes in calendar year 07 - so we could see it within 6-9 months. Just a thought....

 

Mimi's is awesome. We've been to them on the west coast. Good food, interesting kind of cartoonish french cafe decor, and kid-friendly. Plus, they serve breakfast! At last, we'll have some breakfast choices around here with
the new IHOP, etc.

 

Is this what they just broke ground for next to Chuck E. Cheese?

 

I think so. At some point I heard it would be next to Chuck's.
