    New Vision advised us late last week that they may not have all the toters in by Sunday, but shold have them all by Tuesday.
    I guess if AAA didn't pick theirs up, then at least we'll all still have toters for Monday's trash pick-up.

    The AAA trash cans on our side of the street were picked up today but the other side was not -- very strange. The only thing I noticed is that the remaining AAA cans were a newer, dark green style. While ours had seen better days. :)

    Yes, it seems like AAA made several sweeps. One or two (including ours) disappeared first - I think because they were badly damaged. Then the older type went late Sat afternoon. The newer ones are still on the street, as are the recycling bins.

    So, I'm going to put out my trash and yard waste for tomorrow - I sure hope they come pick it all up..

    On Westdale Court in Southern Walk, recycling bins picked up but toters still here (early Monday morning).

    On Glebe View between Broadlands & Truro Parish, nothing picked up and nothing delivered. (est time 7:25 am Monday)

    If you had trash in bags or were some of the lucky ones that got toters, New Vision should have picked up your garbage today, along with any yard waste.

    I saw New Vision out there earlier today - they were really working hard, running from side to side of the street, scurrying or as my old chemistry teaching use to say "Look at 'em PERAMBULATE!"

    I was impressed.

    Still no toters here and the AAA stuff is still at the curb.

    New Vision did a great job today ... they even took the time to check in all the AAA cans to make sure there was no trash in there to pick up.

    Ok, HOW stupid is it to set up a new trash service and have your current trash bins taken away and NO new bins to replace them??? You would expect to have something to put your trash in before the next pickup starts. Am I missing something or is this just our HOA fees going down the drain due to poor management??? It seems the HOA service is going down hill not the trash service......anyone...anyone....

    First, thanks for your inciteful comments. Second, AAA was taken over by a new company, their service was going downhill, and they demanded a $5 increase per home per month, effective immediately.
    Ye hardworking unpaid (gotta save those HOA dollars!!) Board member networked with other HOA's, and found out about New Vision. Their price is even slightly lower than the "old" AAA price. They also threw in the bins/toters for free, which saved another $2/house/month. We contacted several other HOA's that use New Vision and all are completely satisfied with their service.
    I agree it is disappointing that New Vision's toter/bin supplier did not meet their obligation to have them ready by April 1. I think this is a minor inconvenience for a savings of $220,000 HOA dollars/year.
    If you are a Broadlands resident and concerned about your HOA dollars, I look forward to you becoming more involved in your HOA and volunteering your time for one of our many committee's that could use help. Otherwise, we just may have to pay people for these services, and there goes your HOA dollars.............

    Was New Vision supposed to pick up trash at all homes? If so, they missed our street (Highview Trail). Who should I contact to get trash pick up?

    I understand there is ample opportunity to run for a an HOA seat if you are unhappy and feel the HOA is providing "Poor Management". Look forward to your campaign. :rulez:

    It's not the HOAs fault New Vision didn't have the toters. They got a call right before it was supposed to happen. Dumping AAA was the right call.

    My wife's first impression of New Vision was not favorable. She said they drove way too fast, when they doubled back to a cul de sac they'd missed.(Champney and Stonewheel back to Middleridge). Sure they were busy yesterday; but, going too fast in our neighborhoods in never acceptable.

    If the guys from the 'Sopranos' were handling the trash can issue we would of had the cans months ago. You get what you pay for, and it will get worst. AAA is an excellent trash service I think the HOA made a big mistake.

    You're right! AAA was excellent for throwing around the cans, letting debris get into the common areas, missing trash days [I remember 3 days this year they skipped us] and allegedly peeing on a can.

    The village dumped them too. New Vision deserves a chance.

    So you think after the honeymoon with New Vision cans and debris will not be scattered? The problem is people do not secure their trash in the cans. If they would wrap the trash in bags rather then dumping loose items into the cans that would solve the problem. The trash company is not the problem that is causing the littering its your neighbors. If someone is peeing on your can call the police and if you witness the incident get a warrant for their arrest.
