    You've got to be kidding me!!!! My neighbors were trying to recycle/throw out about ten gallons of paint (full cans by the way) with their trash/recycling.

    How idiotic can people be? Last summer there was paint splattered all the way down the middle of Vestal's Gap from leaking cans of paint that were crushed in the truck's trash compactor. And I've seen that in other areas as well. Just another example of laziness or stupidity or both. Would have loved to have seen the workers open up the cans of paint and pour them all over their driveway.

    New Vision will haul away paint cans but ask that you PLEASE separate them and set them to the side so this does not happen.

    Cliff: Clarification on that. Does the paint need to be dried or will they take full, wet cans?

    I don't know about "They will get you one". I have been trying to get a trash can for 2 mos. now and still no go. I have called them 5 times (4 leaving a message and 1 speaking with a nice lady who called me swettie ever other word) and have called HOA. Still - no trash can.

    is it still possible to get a new can? we got our recycling bin, but i don't think anyone in our neighborhood has received a trash can.

    Anyone know why Highview Trail Place was not picked up today at all? I know that the area was scheduled for paving this week but I didn't realize that meant they would not be picking up the trash. When I got home I noticed that all of the trash cans on the street were up on the grass and at least mine was not emptied.

    I seem to remember that trash will be picked up on the Monday national holidays. The only holidays where it won't be picked up will be Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years.

    On those days the trash will be picked up on the next scheduled pick up day. So .. have extra trash bags ready for that Thanksgiving and Christmas trash. ;)

    Does anyone know why some townhomes got the small very cheap garbage cans? The wheels have already come off (nice irony there) of the cheap ones and we had to have them throw it out already. While other town homes got the very nice large garbage cans. Any thoughts?

    Didn't you hear. People living in THs create less trash!! :)

    I believe during the initial distribution the trash company ran out of acceptable size cans (there are three sizes) so they stopped at the local Home Depot and picked up a bunch of Rubber Maids.

    Call the HOA and get the trash company number. Just ask them for a larger trash can. Be sure to call every other day to "remind" them to bring it. It just took me 2 months to get mine.

    If you want a larger can, simply call NewVision and they will swap yours.

    Ours broke and they gave us a new larger one (the more 'tote' ones). Its alot bigger in our garage tho.. can barely squeeze by it when its in the middle.

    The 'cheaper' ones to just get cans quicker since their original supplier had issues and everyone was in such fits about it

    Does anyone know if New Vision picks up bulk items such as an old slider screen door? I've know this topic has been addressed for construction debris and I've had construction debris picked up but it was in small bundles. Anyone know? Thanks.

    They have taken mattresses so I do not see why they would not take a screen door. My understanding is that they will take anything but would like you to call ahead for larger appliances so they are prepared with trucks and trips.

    Well, they did take my old carpet (bundled in small rolls) so I guess I'll put out the old screen door. Thank you!
