News: Town ditches Adelphia for its own broadband

    "MERRIMACK – In response to frustrations with Adelphia, the town is exploring installing its own network of fiber-optic cables to give residents a choice of different providers and greater access to high-speed Internet and other services."

    I also saw this article. Pretty cool Stuff! Whatever happened to the whole wireless plan with CWC? I don't live in Broadlands but I was watching to see how it went, if all went well I would maybe try to get something like that started in Ashburn Village. Below is a link to another town that went out and did their own broadband.

    I didn't go well. CWC could not fix their wireless signal. I have not heard from them in weeks, so I'm guessing they still can't fix it. It was very promising anbd so close to being launched, but they just could not get it working properly. The tower was only broadcasting half a mile when it should have been hitting over 3 miles. Hate to have say it, but it looks like we're back at square 1.
