Non-residents on Broadlands swim team

Daphne, thanks for the continued posts here. A lot of the issues that you think are quick on attacks are pretty justified in my mind. Kurt told 2 people to 'shut the hell up' at the HOA meeting, yet has not - at least that I know, apologized to anyone for his actions. I don't know him, but from what I and others have heard of his actions don't see that as 'impressive' leadership. Everyone loses their cool at one point or another, but why not come on here or just call the board and say 'Hey - it was a rough day. Tensions got hot, sorry for the outburst' or something to that affect? Maybe he did, I don't know.

The other concerns people have brought up seem just as well justified to me as well. The only thing we had gotten is a form letter that looks like it was written by someone studying to be a lawyer... common - this is a kids swim team. You're asking where bloggers are getting their information on the signup issue. Directly from the HOA board meeting is the answer. It's good that things seem to be positively changing since then, but I'm still wondering where this is going to go in the future. With a swim team getting bigger by the year and having a wait list, why even let outside Broadlands members join? Its not like this issue is going to go away by increasing the member cap this year.

 

Thanks Fritz for that clarification. You're right and I'm still learning. See....the board members are so inclusive I've never felt like I'm not really a member

 

Truthfully, I think that most of the posters here have the children best interest at heart, it's just one individual that will ruin it for the entire league. Too bad, cause the league is nice.
