Off Leash dog park needed

I've been taking my 2 dogs all the way to Reston, every so often for them to get some space and fun at the off leash area. I was also very surprised to see so many residents (Pet owners) at the park, whom are from Ashburn area. Does anyone know if we have any facility as a dog park? Do we even have one in Ashburn? It would be so nice to have something like that in the area.......

 

I agree it would be nice, but Reston is currently the closest to us. There is a group that was trying to get a dog park in Ashburn Farm. They have now joined up with a South Riding group and are looking at Loudoun County in general. You can check them out at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LoudounDogsAlliance.

In light of the hurricane, did the 9/18 meeting take place? If not, does anyone know of a make-up date?

FYI -- There is also a dog park in Herndon, much closer than Reston. However, while the Herndon park is bigger and closer, we have come to find the owners that frequent the Reston park to be more responsible (attending to their dogs' 'contributions' and just generally more aware of their dogs' behavior while in the park).
