Does anyone know of a good contractor for installing paver patios? Has anyone heard of or recomend Perfect Pavements?
    http://www.perfectpavements.com

Put Virginia Hardscapes on your list of estimates. A guy named Don Riesgraf came out.
He was very knowledgeable and we got a nice estimate. Then we changed our minds about a patio...
We also called Patomac Patio: they only do brick and flagstone.
Then a third company.... (not Perfect Pavements) This guy was peppy, very helpful, had a lot of great ideas, but he showed up late and never came back with the estimate.... ? I'll try to remember the name...

CRESCENT Design and Constuction -- nice guy, just never came back with the estimate. Probably too busy or something, but still....

I just had my patio done by someone who works for a patio and deck contractor. He can only work weekends but he charged me $4k less that what one of those big time contracts. If you are interested you can take a look at his work in my backyard.

Any experience out there with stamped concrete as opposed to pavers? The stamped concrete is less expensive but my concern is how well it holds up. cracking, fading, etc.

Myself and several neighbors have used Perfect Pavements and we've been happy.
