Don't forget caterpillars and squirrels. I guess I'm not being clear - I understand the occasional droppings. From wild and domesticated animals. I'm saying I don't like the same area being *routinely* used by the same dogs. I also don't think I have to "get over it". I don't like it. I'm stating I don't like it. What's wrong with that?

We're not going to agree on this topic. I'm not going to change my mind and think it's ok for the common areas to only be used by dog owners and that I should keep my children confined to my yard and you're not going to change your mind.

By the way, I don't believe our common area has ever been treated with chemicals. In fact, it's never even been mowed by anyone other than people who live on this street and I would certainly not put my baby down in grass that's been marked as recently treated.

    Cliff...
This was not the first post where I have felt a hint of tension between you two. But if you say there isn't I will trust you on that.

And why would you care if there was any tension between them?

At least Dixie is making something of her life and not just making PB&J sandwiches and watching General Hospital all day 8) Why would you gloat and say you're a stay-at-home mom?

    latka-
Yeah....his black eye looks much worse than mine!!!
But seriously, there is no tension. We just don't always see things exactly the same. Heck, I even get along well with Donna!!!! :)

All the residents in Broadlands pay HOA dues and I don't want our paid employees spending time working on things that are not their responsibilty and have no control over. Maybe we should hire another employee that we would all have to pay for to mediate neighbor disputes?!?! If we could find such a person, I'd hate to think how much they would charge!!!!

Wow. I just popped back on to see if anyone noticed my post. I see some did.
I was saying I had no stress with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek.
Some of you are too sensitive. Especially poor Dixie, the one who came crying to the forum in the first place. Remember, I am not the one whose nose is disjointed.
Dixie, I hope you find a good solution- sometimes the only way to get past an argument like that one is empathy. I hope you can find some for them. It doesn't look like you're getting much from them.

Now, do I address the mean things you guys said? Not sure what pop-psyche would be construed of my non-response. I'm surprised how quickly you ganged up on me- it seems there are some real misconceptions about how stay-at-home moms spend their days.

Well, It's different for everyone. Depending on the age and needs of your kids I guess. Right now we are all (minus one- napping upstairs) sitting at the kitchen table having some crackers (while I type) and our little friends are here so that their mom could go to a doctors appt.
I didn't say it was tough. It can be some days, like anything, but most days it's very fun. I think I'm really lucky to be home with my kids and I try to make the most of it. When I went back to work I wasn't interested in anything but my daughter- so it made sense to be the person taking care of her. It's not an option or the right choice for everyone, but it certainly is sometimes.
We found out recently that our litte one has a serious peanut allergy, which comes with a handy little epi-pen. I am uber-lucky to be home with her so that I can try to protect her from the long list of things she needs to avoid.
Speaking of which, if anyone on this forum has peanut allergies or has kids with them- I would love to talk to you about them. Thanks.

Dixie, you just lost alot of credibility with that last post, completely unnecessary and mean spirited. I'm starting to believe your neighbors may have just cause.
