I was a software developer at Network Solutions for 3 years (since left). Did you have a specific question?

Ok, I want the inside scoop on Network Solutions. I had 2 interviews with them and they never got back to me at all... not even "we went with somebody else but thanks for taking 3+ hours of your time to meet with us". GRRRRR. That's a really bad reflection on that company in my eyes...

Some quick advise for jobseekers that I have always found helpful....

As already stated -- do your research. Know who you wish to work for and why. Follow their web site, press releases, do your due diligence. Therefore when you are drafting a letter of interest, personalize it as well as showcase your familarity with the company and why you would like to be a part of the team.

Take advantage of the "leadership directories." www.leadershipdirectories.com I have found the info in these directories to be current and provide an additional venue towards contacting key decision makers and those with hiring authority.

It pays to personalize your resume to the specific position. Generic resumes typically do not make the cut; there's too much competition out there.

And lastly to respond to the poll, I was Country Director for Lincoln Group in Pakistan until just recently. For what it's worth, Lincoln Group's corporate offices are downtown WDC.

    Good luck.
