Radon Home Inspector

    You can get the kit at home depot for $10 and send it away for a $30 lab fee. You can also buy a detector (kind of like a carbon monoxide detector) that actually shows you a reading real time--my neighbor bought one after we had it come in high when we moved into our house. Not sure how much those are--but you don't have to send it away and you can easily do a long-term test (months instead of days).

    We have a radon reduction system, and i've seen quite a few up in my neighborhood. This is nothing the mess around with. If the test comes in high---the system to get rid of it is about 700 or 800 bucks...but it's peace of mind. I read up on radon when our home inspection found it before we moved in last year---cheap fix to avoid some bad ju-ju.
